The difference between C-type and H-type wire rope pressing machines

Wire Rope Pressing Machine Styles – Here’s a Summary from Zunzz on the Pros and Cons of Each Type:

C-Type Open (Tiger Mouth Style)

Advantages: Easy operation for wire rope pressing; allows rope insertion from the side, making it suitable for small-specification wire ropes in batch production.

Disadvantages: Due to frame stress requirements, this type is much larger than machines of the same capacity. Domestic manufacturers generally only produce this type up to 500T.

H-Type Pressing Machine

Advantages: Comes in two styles – 1) single-frame, and 2) steel-wrapped (pre-stressed). This type has a more compact, visually appealing design, with a durable frame and good cost-effectiveness.

Disadvantages: Wire rope insertion is done front-to-back through the mold, making it slightly less efficient for high-volume production of small-specification wire ropes compared to the C-Type.

Four-Column Pressing Machine

Advantages: None identified. (This is a personal opinion of the author, so consider it at your discretion.)

Disadvantages: Relatively large, with the cylinder typically positioned on top and exerting downward force, making it somewhat less cost-effective.

Ultimately, the most important factor is selecting a machine that best suits your needs. When ordering, it’s beneficial to discuss your production requirements with the manufacturer, as they’ll consider your interests when offering recommendations.
